Merry Christmas 2020

“You better not pout, you better not cry, you better not shout, I’m tellin’ you why… COVID-19 is going out of town. Here’s to hoping things only go up from here. HO HO HO.”

It doesn’t look like COVID-19 is going anywhere anytime soon, vaccine administrations will take some time and with social distancing, holiday get togethers on Zoom like everything else is real. After all, the jolly guy in red is over 1,000 years old, making him very high risk. Here are some tips for you to keep the holidays from falling into the burning dumpster that is 2020? Plan a Zoom holiday party with fun games, create a personalized family quiz with questions about each other, and maybe even some dancing. Spend time at home lighting up and decorating, dressing up, dress up your pets, have a photo shoot, make a handmade Christmas card, bake Xmas goodies, make hot chocolate, watch Xmas movies, curl up on the couch under the same blanket. Tis the season to be jolly, after all!

As the year is winding down, it seems like there is nowhere to go but up. We have collectively survived this year. We all did it! We made it through quarantine, hoarding masks and sanitisers, working from home, endless chores and cooking, remote learning, and the grocery shortage without killing each other. Congratulations. Now, let’s celebrate.
