Easy DIY ‘Stranger Things’ Halloween Costumes

Easy DIY Eleven Costume

If you read my ‘Top 5 Reasons I loved Stranger Things’ journal entry, you know how much I love Eleven, the psychokinetic, Eggo-loving supernatural hero. So much that I have even attempted to import Eggos into India in the last few days. And, for all those people planning their 2016 Stranger Things themed Halloween costumes, look no further. This is the coolest you’ll ever look using just 4 readily available items – easy peasy! TIP: To channel your inner El, don’t wear any make-up and make sure you go bare feet. Slick your hair back into a low bun or ponytail or braid them into cornrows if you want to skip wearing a short pixie wig. And, don’t forget to paint on the nose bleed.

Easy DIY Dr. Brenner Stranger Things Costume

If you want to dress as a couple – just get your partner to dress up as Dr. Martin Brenner, Eleven’s laboratory Papa in a grey suit, dark tie and have his/her hair temporarily dyed grey with white hair chalk. Or, wear a white wig along with stick-on white eyebrows ala Stephen Colbert in this recent hilarious spoof. Voila!

Speaking of Halloween, what are your biggest fears or phobias? I’ll skip my spiel on existential angst and admit I’m quite terrified of centipedes, not snakes, not alligators but centipedes – I’m chilopodophobic. Tell me yours!

  5. What a simple costume idea I haven’t seen the show yet but all my friends can’t stop talking about it. I’m scared of heights and elevator rides.
